Gandhi Gonzales, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was immersed in music from a young age, initially studying piano and music theory before shifting to drums at age 14. After earning a Law degree from The Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, Gandhi pursued his true passion for music at Berklee College of Music, where he dual-majored in Contemporary Writing and Production and Drums Performance, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Since moving to New York in 2013, he has flourished as both a teacher and performer, working with students across various music schools and collaborating with a wide array of artists and bands, including Manny Cruz, currently nominated for a Latin Grammy. His diverse experience spans genres and includes performing with notable acts such as Charlie Sub and the Sound Dogs, showcasing his adaptability and wide-ranging talent in the music industry.
